Public acceptance on FX070707

By Wellness, The Next Big Thing

"FX070707 Numismatic Society of Malaysia is now accepted by the public." says Ir. Mohammad Jamal who is the President. The idea of forming the society was mooted by Ir. Mohammad and Mohd Hatta, the Vice President. Surprisingly, they were both strangers before but it was the common hobby that brought them together.

Clement Pung, the youngest member of society

By Wellness, The Next Big Thing

On 21 September 2008, Clement Pung became the latest and youngest member of the society. I highly salute his father, Mr Pung, for his determination to expose numismatic hobby to his children at the very early age. I met Mr Pung in Ramadhan 2006 in Bandar Sungai Long and coincidentally, we met again 2 years later in Ramadhan 2008 at the same place. When I met him that night, I noticed that he had gained some weight and I teased him that he must have had a good time in international waters. Pung is a sailor who sails around the world from port to port. His exposures to world is highly invaluable. Listening to his work experience and numismatic stories will definitely drop you jaw. Pung and I share the common views toward money .... money is not real. "Do not chase for money as it will fade away. Instead, chase for success and money will follow you", says Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Nobel Peace Prize Winner and Founder of Grameen Bank, Bangladesh.
We ended our discussion around 11:30pm that night. Surprisingly, the restaurant owner also became interested and we planned to have 2009 meeting at the same place with more new members. Pung will be sailing off on 5 October 2008 and will be back to Malaysia in April 2009. My best wishes to him in his journey toward endless search for truth in life.
